Strengthening our minds through mind fitness is similar to strengthening our
bodies through physical fitness. Doing the wash, raking the leaves,
cleaning the house or garage are all physical activities. A physical
fitness program, however, is more focused. A physical fitness program
involves intention and feedback.
The same is true of a mind fitness program.
Reading, doing puzzles of any kind, and playing cards are all mentally
stimulating. To truly tap into our potentials mentally, however, we need
to take our mind and brain to the gym. We need to give specific feedback
to our brain in order to teach our brain how to optimally function.
